Allison (our fabulous Friend & attendant: she was so much more than waitress) made spot on recommendations based on our questions and took our picture for our 30th anniversary. Each course was perfectly timed and so amazingly delicious. Go! Now!
Awful sirloin steak. Jaw hurt after chewing the first piece. Tried a few more pieces to see if it was the whole thing, it was. Toughest steak ever. Waiter claimed it's cause it was grass fed, yeah I don't think so. It's too bad because the cooking was actually excellent, just the meat was awful. Poor sourcing of ingredients for what would be an otherwise great restaurant. In retrospect, left too much tip for the waiter. He should not have made excuses.
We went on a recommendation from Berkeley House B&B owner Jeff. Farm to table perfection, best New York strip steak (ever!! with blackened garlic butter). May have to move to Staunton Virginia when I retire so I can eat here every day until the money runs out!
Delicious dining experience! Will be going back again very soon! Make sure to make reservations or the wait could be long!
