I purchased a used travel trailer and a certified used pickup truck. I also took the truck in for its first service. I have been pleased with both the purchase and service experiences. During the service appointment they fixed a problem under the certified used car warranty, which was handled graciously. They kept the service appointment right on time, which was important as I was waiting for it to be completed.
I could not be more pleased with the collision repair performed by your body shop. My 2016 Silverado was damaged after striking a deer at 70 mph resulting in considerable body damage and the deployment of the side curtain airbags. Ken, the Charlie Obaugh repair representative in the body shop, was fantastic. I was provided detailed information on the repairs before work began. A special effort was made to make sure everything was perfectly repaired before returning my vehicle as I live 150 miles away and could not easily return to correct any issues. The quality of the work performed was outstanding, including paint and body panel alignment/fit, and the interior. When those curtain airbags go it really disrupts the interior. I am delighted to report it is virtually impossible to detect the location of any of the repairs. I also received a followup call from Ken the day after retrieving my vehicle and driving home 150 miles to make sure all was well. I was told I'd get another call in 5 days just to be sure.
My husband took our Encore in for its first service appointment. He was blown away by the kindness and professionalism of the staff, and how easy it was to get to the service area. He said he was treated like royalty. Thanks for the continued great customer service from purchase to maintenance!! Keep up the great work!
Immediately after the deer strike I thought the extent of the damage would likely result in me selling the vehicle after it was repaired. To my surprise, the vehicle was returned in as good condition as it was before the accident. I now fully intend to keep this vehicle for many years. Thank you Charlie Obaugh, and a special thanks to Ken for making sure everything was handled as close to perfect as you can get!
Fantastic place to buy a car. A Buick is a well made, dependable vehicle, the Envision we just bought is our fourth Buick. The staff, from Charlie to the guy who washes the car free when you bring it in for service, are ALL very nice and friendly and go out of their way to assist you. We have already recommended "Charlie's Place" to several of our friends!!!
I am finally catching up on the review I should have given weeks ago. Getting right to the point, the service department at Charlie Obaugh Chevrolet Buick GMC in Staunton VA is top notch!!! I had my 2014 GMC Yukon towed there from the Joe Bowman Chevrolet dealership in Harrisonburg VA. The service departments at these two dealerships are polar opposites! The service department employees at Joe Bowman Chevrolet will lie to you and take you for a ride...consider yourself warned, and by a very reasonable customer. Conversely, Heather Weaver at Charlie Obaugh was nothing short of wonderful. She was highly professional and is an absolute asset to Charlie Obaugh! She ensured that EVERY aspect of my experience within their service department left nothing to be desired. I will never go anywhere else for future service. As far as Joe Bowman Chevrolet is concerned, I would not bring them a matchbox car to work on!
