A solid three-star place to stay. In terms of quality, it's maybe a high two-star, but the location puts it over the edge into three. The rooms are perfectly serviceable. Nothing fancy at all. The breakfast is adequate, though there's no hot food available. But again, the location just a few blocks from downtown Staunton (less than 10 minute walk) is the best thing about this place.
Three stars only for the excellent location, it is within easy walking distance to the historic downtown. Cleanliness, bedding and dated rooms are close to two stars...service at the desk is usually friendly. There is a free continental breakfast included. Rates are scaled so expect to pay more during peak tourist times. Have been here many times for business and recommend if you just need a place to spend the night, go out on the town and nothing more.
We've stayed here before. It was an alright place to stay. Was clean so that's a plus. Didn't like that we were in a non smoking room but our neighbors were smokers and the smell kept coming into our room every time they smoked. Other than that it was a decent place to stay. Would stay here again.
Great location & clean with low rates! Nice simple continental breakfast, sparkling pool. Rooms are older but clean. Walk to Mary Baldwin University and plenty of restaurants & antique stores in Historic Staunton. Owners are on site and eager to please. Plenty of free parking! (Try Chicano Boy restaurant across the parking lot)
Walking distance to downtown. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Dog-friendly and they don't discriminate against size of dog - large breeds welcome. Rooms was nice and fairly clean for the "2 or 3 star quality" that the chain falls under.
