The food is consistently good, despite having a huge and varied menu. I have never had a bad meal at Mill Street.

Only downside is that they are so popular, they don't take reservations. Friday and Saturday nights especially are most popular, so you may have a wait for a table.

Mill Street has been around in one form or another for decades. It's an icon in Staunton and one of the few establishments that has lasted. This is not an accident.

Also, my dad is hard of hearing and often complains that it's hard to have a conversation in the restaurant. So of someone in your party is similar, you may want to try somewhere else.

Very loud. Arrived at 11am when they opened. Took 49 minutes to get food. $75 for 2 steaks. We both ordered baked potatoes. Only got a half a potato each because they were out! Really? Wife's steak was, well lets just say I have gotten better at waffle house! Staff needs to look more professional! You don't work at a gym. Salad was good. Lemonade was great. Place needs a good cleaning. Look around the tables. We were one of the first ones seated. Dirty. Look at the air vents, clean them! When we arrived the kitchen staff was off to the left smoking. 10:47 am. Tee shirts and shorts. Now that looks professional! Our experience was not the best and will a long time before we visit again. Just expected more from a restaurant that charges $75 for 2 meals and we can eat at Applebees 3 times for that and its clean and better food!

With dozens of patrons lining up before 11am, the Sunday brunch is a local favorite. Usually only open for dinner, Mill Street Grill makes the brunch very worth your while. There is always a full page of featured options for brunch and dinner in addition to their regular menu. Always full, but not packed, this is the go-to dining option in Staunton.

After spending about four hours exploring the Camera Heritage Museum we found our way to the Mill Street Grill. The portions were more than enough and were quite tasty. Billy was our server and he was excellent. The menu is pretty lengthy so most folks should be able to find something to their liking. The fresh bread and homemade butter were a nice touch to our dinner experience. The ambiance was incredible as you are actually in an old mill. We would not hesitate to visit here again when we are in the area.

This place was AMAZING! ! I have never had a steak the was so good I ate every single bit of it (I usually find a spot or two that's gristle or too fatty)! The atmosphere was great (a bit loud but we were sitting right next to the live band playing) so I'd say that was the main source of noise. Our waiter was great and worked hard to make sure we had what we needed. I will definitely be making a special trip to eat here again!!
